Beneath
When the creative juices run dry, there’s nothing quite like a rummage through the archives to find some inspiration, or even something to fit the subject matter. “Man beneath a jigsaw” was commissioned for an article on product diversity and options for an internal banking publication. You can understand the need for an illo to [...]

Old Fashioned
Illustration Friday – Old Fashioned From dusty filing cabinets to platform boots to dodgy swimwear, doesn’t get much old-fashioneder than that. Although call it”retro” and suddenly it’s back in style again! Raiding the archives for this editorial illustration where the brief was to inject some humour and colour into the dryest of subjects – pensions! [...]

Acrobat
Illustration Friday – Acrobat Romantic fiction set to a blossoming romance between two circus acrobats. Boy meets girl, boy drops girl, the end. Illustration Friday – Dip
Dip - Election Special! The dip here is not referring to the Prime Minister, (a man of high intellect (and Raith Rovers supporter!)), but rather the dips, twists and turns that we, the voting public, can expect over the coming weeks as the rollercoaster that is the general election campaign gains momentum. Lucky us!

Illustration Friday – Rescue
Rescue – or pet rescue in this circumstance. A nod to the important role pet rescue centres provide, offering a second to chance to animals who deserve to find a good home, as was the case with my own border collie Poppy. Created in adobe illustrator, initially as a mock-up for a boarding kennel but [...]

Illustration Friday – Expired
A purely graphic interpretation of subject matter, unusually for me. Keeping things simple which probably suits my mindset right now. An Illustrator creation for info. UPDATE: This entry can also be seen on the pages of creativematch’s flair competition for March here
